You can expect to see Neon Colors pop up in your favorite stores and from designers as the Spring Lines roll out! My first glimpse of the Spring Neon Trend was at Fashion Houston in October of 2011. The designers were flaunting their Spring Lines accented with neons and I loved it! Mixing Nudes, Neons, and Whites is definitely a trend I can work with and add my pearls for a polished look!

I think Sarah Jessica Parker looks fabulous in this neon and nude color combination… Don’t you?

Find your perfect neon shade and balance it with a subtle neutral color like nude, grey, white or black! Remember not to overcomplicate the look. Don’t make the outfit too trendy and overdone, the neon is enough and needs to have a conservative contrast in my opinion! Stick with shoes that are in the same color family as your outfit, don’t throw another color into the equation for the shoes! Ideas could also be mixing a leopard print shoe, polka dot shoe, nude shoe or silver/gun-metal shoe.

This is the “Neon Pink” or “Hot Pink” Equipment Silk Blouse I recently purchased. Absolutely love it! I can wear it now with black, and in the Spring with white or a light khaki color. The sleeves can be rolled up for a looser look Haven’t had enough time to experiment with the color, so I will have to keep thinking for more options!

I would probably wear these pale neon yellow jeans with a crisp white button up and nude shoes or more casual with a white tank for a poolside look!

If you have doubts on your matching abilities, buy a piece that is put together already and just add shoes!! At some point finding a pair of nude shoes should be on your agenda, you will find so many ways to wear them!!

If neons aren’t your thing, consider a beautiful cobalt blue, emerald green, tangerine or yellow to bring that cheerful pop of color to your style! Also consider accessorizing with neons instead— a purse, shoes, a scarf or a statement necklace!

I’ve seen fabulous neons at Nordstrom, Express, Saks, Forever 21, Tootsies just to name a few! No matter where you shop, just buy a piece and throw it into your Spring/Summer wardrobe. No need to go overboard, just buy a piece!
